Night ferry poster advertised by southern British rail. Original poster from the late 50s advertising an overnight sleeper train leaving London Victoria station and travelling through the night to either Paris or Brussels. 2 trains a day leaving for these services and dates are shown on the poster as to when this service would run.
Back in the 50s and 60s this train would leave Victoria and head to Folkstone, where the train would be transferred into the ferry! And then when the ferry docked at Calais. The train would simply drive off the other end and continue its European trip to either Paris or Brussels.
This original poster is very rare to get your hands on now and not many of these are still knocking about. A true collectors piece in a lovely white frame and string mounted at the back. It’s the perfect size for the household!
